- Floods cut roads — donors can’t reach centres and units can’t move between districts
- Camps stop — colleges and grounds flood, so collection drops just as need rises
The result is the annual monsoon squeeze: banks that were fine in May run dry by August, and families start searching donor by donor.
What actually helps:
- Registering before the season — so a ping in July reaches people who said yes in March
- Donating in June — you enter the season with your interval already cleared
- District-level donors — someone within reach of a cut-off district’s centre is worth more than ten across the river
