1. What this platform is

Assam Blood Donor is an independent nonprofit initiative that connects blood requests with voluntary donors and licensed blood centres in Assam. We are not a blood bank, hospital or medical service. We do not collect, store, test, sell or distribute blood.

2. Donations happen at licensed centres only

All donations must take place at licensed blood centres/banks under applicable law. Final eligibility is always decided by medical staff at the centre, our eligibility guidance is general education, not a medical decision.

3. No payment, ever

Voluntary donation is non-remunerated. Buying or selling blood is illegal in India. Nobody on this platform may ask a patient for money, and donors must not accept payment.

4. Verification & honesty

We verify requests by phone before contacting donors. Submitting false requests, impersonation, or harvesting donor information is prohibited and may be reported to authorities.

5. No warranty of matches

We work hard to match requests with willing donors, but we cannot promise a donor will be found, or that a matched donor will pass the centre's eligibility check. Always keep the hospital blood centre as your parallel channel, our request pages repeat this on purpose.

6. Liability

The platform is provided as-is for connecting people. We are not liable for medical outcomes, third-party conduct, or decisions made at hospitals or centres.

7. Changes

These terms may evolve (e.g. after formal Section 8 registration). Material changes are announced on this page with a new version date.
